Summary: Peer Advisor Job Description

Provide academic, college and career advising to students
Mentor and coach students academically and social-emotionally
Assist students with homework/ classwork if needed
Attend weekly/biweekly meetings with Peer Advisors and Site Coordinator
Attend peer advisor training sessions
Minimum Requirements:

Strong Mentoring Skills a PLUS
Be able to tutor in some subjects from elementary, middle and high school
Strong Math Skills a PLUS (Geometry, Algebra I & II), however not required
Strong knowledge of the Sciences a PLUS, however no required
Able to work effectively with others
Candidates with a degree or working towards their degree is a plus
Must have reliable transportation
Patient and able to connect with students
Passionate about making a difference among underrepresented and underserved students, including homeless and foster students
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a PLUS, however not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

We are currently working on campus. We are following the guidelines and procedures outlined by each individual school site. COVID-19 training maY be REQUIRED. If not vaccinated you may have to do show ongoing negative tests
