Internship Term: You must be available to work:  (a) June 23 - 26, 2025, (b) July 7 - 11, 2025,  (c) July 15 - 17, 2025, and (d) July 28 - 31, 2025

Commitment: 10–20 hours per week per summer camp

Stipend: $1500

Location: Primarily in-person (camp locations across Long Beach, Irvine, Pomona,)

Employment Status: Independent Contractor

** Minimum GPA of 2.5 or greater

** Minimum age of 18 years

Overview:

This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education, youth empowerment, and hands-on learning. Interns will gain valuable experience supporting the development and delivery of summer programming aimed at underserved and underrepresented students in engaging, creative, and community-driven settings.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of STEAM Summer Camp activities

● Support instructors and students during hands-on workshops, team challenges, and interactive demonstrations

● Help document camp activities through photography, video, or note-taking

● Assist in managing attendance, supply distribution, and daily logistics

● Engage with students to support learning and maintain a safe, inclusive environment

● Contribute creative ideas for activities, reflection sessions, and group projects

● Participate in team check-ins and provide feedback for program improvement

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

● Passion for education, youth development, and/or STEAM fields

● Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to changing environments

● Comfortable working with middle and high school students

● Strong communication and collaboration skills

● Able to take initiative and follow directions independently

● Satisfactory criminal background check, including fingerprint check

● Negative TB test dated January 1, 2024, or later

● Reliable transportation
